“See”: the peek feature that changes how you play solitaire
Every Klondike player knows the moment: two moves look equally good, and the right one depends on a card you can't see. Bible Solitaire's patent-pending “See” feature ends the guessing — tap See and peek at the face-down cards in the tableau, then make your move with your eyes open.
How to use See
- Tap “See” during any game. The face-down cards in the tableau are revealed for a peek.
- Read the board. Where are the Aces buried? Which column hides the red 6 you need? Which King is worth digging for?
- Make your move. The cards flip back, and you play on — now with a plan instead of a hope.
Is peeking cheating?
It's the question everyone asks — and the honest answer is no, for a simple reason: peeking is what people have always done with a real deck. At the kitchen table, players lift a corner to check a face-down card before committing to a big move. See simply makes that natural, human move official.
And note what See doesn't do: it never moves a card, never suggests a play, and never wins the game for you. It reveals information only. You still have to read the board, weigh the options, and make the call. If anything, that's more thinking, not less.
🧠 Informed decisions are better exercise
Guessing exercises luck. Deciding exercises the mind. When you can see what's buried, every move becomes a real decision — compare, plan, commit. It plays a little closer to FreeCell: more strategy, less coin-flip.
When See matters most
- Choosing between two plays — when either of two cards could take the same spot, peek to learn which column hides the cards you'll need next.
- Before emptying a column — is the King you'd move there sitting on top of your buried Ace? See knows.
- Late game — when the win comes down to unbury order, a peek turns a lost game into a won one.
